In November 2023, China Air Union was commissioned by a mechanical equipment company to assist in airlifting 112 tons of facility equipment from various parts of China to Senegal for the opening of a new port. These overweight and oversized facilities need to be delivered to their destinations in a timely manner in preparation for the opening ceremony of African ports.

4、 Operational difficulties

1. This charter flight was conducted during the preparation stage before the peak aviation season, and the number of available cargo planes was limited. We fully utilized our close relationship with the airline and chartered a Boeing 747-400F cargo plane through a regular cooperating airline operator.

2. The customer's preferred airport, Sittwe Airport, is unable to accommodate this type of aircraft or unload equipment for oversized cargo. Therefore, we have changed the charter flight route to an airport capable of handling oversized cargo.

Due to various delays, the landing permit was delayed. China Air Union utilized its close cooperation with the operator to postpone the flight for two days without paying any additional fees. We will promptly utilize various resources through diplomatic channels to accelerate the acquisition of landing permits and ensure that the charter flight proceeds smoothly on the new date, and the goods are safely delivered in a timely manner before the port opening ceremony.

Despite encountering various pressures and challenges during the charter flight, China Air Union successfully completed the charter mission with reliable teamwork and flexible response capabilities, safely and smoothly transporting the goods to their destination in Senegal, providing satisfactory service to customers.
